2. Florida Gators

Right up there with LSU Football's clashes with Alabama are LSU's clashes with the Florida Gators especially under Urban Meyer. The teams have had some incredible games over the years however the Gators handed LSU two disappointing losses.

If you remove Florida from the SEC, Nick Saban's 2003 team goes undefeated winning the National Championship. Take out the 2006 loss, and LSU plays for the SEC title holding the tiebreaker over Arkansas and likely plays for the National Championship. However, if you do remove Florida for SEC play, we lose the 2020 shoe throw game.

1. Alabama Crimson Tide

If you go by just the Nick Saban era of Alabama Football there's no rival that's debatable to kick out of the SEC over Alabama. Every season it seemed that LSU and Alabama were clashing in the regular season for the SEC West title and in some years the National Championship.

In 2009, Alabama won in a fourth quarter comeback handing the 9th ranked Tigers a second loss seemingly knocking them out of contention for the National Title. In 2011, in "The Game of The Century" the Tigers knocked off Alabama in Tuscaloosa but, the strength of the SEC kept Alabama in the hunt. If Alabama isn't in the SEC do they get the shot at LSU in the National Title? If Alabama's not in the SEC LSU likely rules the SEC West resulting in handfuls of SEC Championships and likely a few more National Titles.
