If you were a South Carolina fan, Saturday was shaping up to be one of the best days of the 2000's as a Gamecocks fan. The school hosted College Gameday for the first time in a decade where the atmosphere was incredible. The Gamecocks got off to an incredible start taking a 17-0 lead and things coudn't have been going better.

The LSU Football team slowly fought its way back into contention and finally took a lead in the fourth quarter. That was until the South Carolina Gamecocks took the lead back as LSU needed to go down and score before the game was over.

For a school that has a mascot that is a rooster, you think the fanbase would know better than to count their chickens before the eggs hatched. As members of the South Carolina student section believed the Tigers weren't going to score, the student section began to rush their way closer to the field to find a better section to rush the field from.

Little did the student section know but, Garrett Nussmeier would hit Kyren Lacy on a beautiful deep ball before Josh Williams punched the ball in to give the Tigers the lead. The fanbase almost got a new lease on life however, Alex Herrera just missed a deep field goal at the end of regulation as the Tigers escaped Colombia with a victory.

I'm not a doctor but, I would diagnose this one as premature celebration.
