After a rocky first half, the LSU Football team played a perfect second half outscoring the UCLA Bruins 17-0. The Tigers made plenty of mistakes today but, the group continues to show signs of improvement which should have you excited about what this team could become. In the postgame press conference, Brian Kelly gave us all some insight into how he felt the game was and the latest on the injuries suffered today:

Brian Kelly spoke on what changes the LSU Football team may or may not have made at half-time as the team performed much better in the second half:

"On offense we had some key drops in the first half, but doing our job on defense was the biggest difference from the first half to the second half."

He also spoke on the mistakes the defense made in the first half and said that they're all fixable which is a positive.

One of the returns we were all excited to see today was Chris Hilton Jr who Brian Kelly announced would play after dealing with bone bruises all Summer. However, Chris Hilton Jr didn't play today which came as a shock as he spent the entire summer as a starter. It's hard to disagree with the decision as Aaron Anderson and Kyle Parker posted massive games in his place.

"Chris Hilton was a game time decision but, we didn't play him because he didn't add enough for what we wanted to do. There's another guy we expect back next week full go as another vertical threat"

We got some clarity on the injury to Zy Alexander as he suffered a concussion on the massive hit that forced him out of the game. Brian Kelly confirmed on the field that Harold Perkins suffered a knee injury but, he has no further updates as the team awaits testing.

Brian Kelly also gave us some news on Aaron Anderson as he disclosed he dealt with a back injury this weekend. That didn't slow the receiver as he led the wide receivers with six catches for 75 yards.

"He's been consistent for us, a consistent ball-catcher, a guy that has made steady improvements."

Brian Kelly gave some thoughts on this team and if he's able to clean up the mistakes, you should feel excited about this teams potential.

"There's enough talent out here to contend for an SEC championship. We've got to clean up the little mistakes."

Brian Kelly

The Tigers now have a week to clean up their mistakes before hosting South Alabama which will be followed by a bye week and then LSU will host Ole Miss.
