LSU Football Wide Receiver Brian Thomas Jr has been selected 23rd overall by the Jacksonville Jaguars. Thomas lands in the first round with teammates Jayden Daniels who went 2nd overall and Malik Nabers who went 6th overall. Thomas Jr joins LSU teammates

Brian Thomas Jr and Malik Nabers came to the NFL Draft in incredible suits gifted by LSU wide receivers coach Cortez Hankton Jr:

A few shocking draft picks in the top half of the draft hurt Brian Thomas Jr as defensive talent didn't come off the board until the 15th pick as quarterbacks flew off the board. Thomas land in Jacksonville where many experts projected he'd go however, the Jags traded back in the draft landing him at 23 instead of 17th.

The Jaguars instantly get a young receiver that they can pair with Trevor Lawrence long-term. The wide receiver room went under a ton of changes this off-season, as Calvin Ridley left for the Titans while the team signed Gabe Davis from the Bills.

The Jaguars now have an explosive young offense as Thomas joins Gabe Davis, Christian Kirk, Evan Engram, and Travis Etienne. The Jaguars will look to compete with the upstart Texans for the AFC South with an offense explosive enough to win the division.

Brian Thomas continues the long legacy of LSU Wide Receivers going in the first round of the NFL Draft. The LSU Tigers added two first round receivers to its rich history tonight bolstering an already great recruiting pitch.
