The first weekend of the NFL season it looked like Giants fans were going to be reading mock drafts all season looking to see who Mel Kiper, Matt Miller, and Todd McShay had replacing Daniel Jones. The game was a disaster that was filled with Giants fans booing the team from the first quarter through the fourth with fans calling for Daniel Jones to be benched.

The lone bright spot for fans was that Malik Nabers looked good in limited targets catching five passes for 66 yards on just seven targets.

When Brian Daboll reviewed film with Daniel Jones he likely told him to look to Nabers early and often as there's a reason he was drafted so high. The Giants offense flipped in week two as Jones targeted Nabers 18 times with Nabers catching ten passes for 127 yards and a touchdown in a game the Giants would have won if not for an injury to their kicker.

Heading into Week 3 the game was a do or die for the Giants as rumors of things getting messy behind the scenes started to emerge. The Giants quickly put themselves in a hole the first two plays of the game fumbling the opening kickoff and allowing a touchdown the next play.

After that point, the game became the Malik Nabers show for the New York Giants. Daniel Jones' biggest issue in his career has been turning the ball over, what helps is when your Rookie Phenom receiver steals an interception out of a defensive backs hands and turns it into a 28 yard gain.

The Giants have struggled in the red zone with Jones at quarterback, what helps that issue is when your rookie wide receiver can contort his body in ways few wide receivers can with NFL experience.

Facing another third and goal, no one else can get open, no worries Malik Nabers will win his one on one, and Jones now knows to go to him as often as possible.

Nabers made two highlight reel grabs and scored twice but, Brian Daboll's favorite play, came when Nabers made an incredible play breaking up an interception for the second time in the game this time as the Giants were holding onto a lead.

Malik Nabers is making Giants' fans believe again

On a day where Daniel Jones could've lost the Giants the game, all the fans remember is Nabers' incredible catches. After all, Giants fans have a reason to believe, given that a rookie receiver by the name of Odell Beckham Jr seemingly extended Eli Manning's career a year after he led the league in interceptions. The Giants fans may not feel they're a Super Bowl contender but, they're starting to believe in their coach, quarterback, and General Manager thanks to Malik Nabers.
