Dave Portnoy and Michigan fans up the ante making massive pitch to Bryce Underwood
A few weeks ago, Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy made massive headlines when he declared that he'd be willing to spend upwards of $3 Million to buy Michigan a "Top Ten" Quarterback every year. This comes as the Wolverines have next to no passing game as Davis Warren and Alex Orji struggle.
The offer by Portnoy alone is massive and one Michigan would certainly have to consider in this NIL era of College Football. Portnoy stated on the Basrtool Pick'em podcast this week that he has already spoken with Sherone Moore and members of the Wolverines program. The offer has however been upped and the Michigan fans have one name in mind and it is LSU commit Bryce Underwood.
Founder of Chat Sports and host of the Michigan Football Report on YouTube James Yoder has tacked on an extra Million if it means that Michigan lands Underwood.
"If Portnoy goes to three million right, he taps out, if for his three million, we will add a million dollars to bring it up to four million dollars. It comes with strings attached, that is the offer to Bryce Underwood."

Now the offer alone may not scare LSU as the Tigers have powerful boosters that could easily cough up the money if it came down to it. However, the support from in-state boosters paired with Portnoy's popularity and media empire could give Underwood an outlet to further grow his brand that LSU may not be able to match.
Underwood has kept committed to LSU and hasn't visited any other school since committing to LSU but, that could change in an instant. If Brian Kelly and his staff lost Bryce Underwood it would be devastating as he's the Nation's top recruit and a key recruiter for the Tigers.
