Debate: These four faces belong on the LSU Tigers Mount Rushmore
Mount Rushmore features four former U.S. Presidents who represent significant events in history. If there was a Mount Rushmore in Baton Rouge, it should feature these four faces carved into stone.

Barstool Sports’ LSU X (Twitter) account sparked a debate with a mockup of an LSU Tigers Mount Rushmore on February 9. Their mountain featured the faces of LSU alums Shaquille O’Neal, Patrick Peterson, Pete Maravich, and Joe Burrow.

Naturally, LSU Tigers fans on Elon’s app wasted no time replying with their picks for a Tigers Mount Rushmore. We posed the question and received multiple replies on the Death Valley Voice Facebook page.
Shaq, Joe Burrow, and Pistol Pete were popular picks among fans. Other names dropped included Todd Walker, Dylan Crews, Glen Dorsey, Angel Reese, and Billy Cannon. One user suggested that an LSU Tigers Mount Rushmore must feature persons who contributed to the university instead of a mountain exclusive to college athletics.
After much consideration, Death Valley Voice has planned for our LSU Tigers Mount Rushmore. The selection process was complicated, considering the large number of legends affiliated with the university. Before we unveil our plans, we must cover our selection criteria.
Our LSU Tigers Mount Rushmore selection criteria are simple. For starters, we are building a mountain dedicated to Tigers athletics. After all, this is a site dedicated to LSU sports.
Second, our mountain is consistent with Mount Rushmore. Such includes four faces that represent significance to LSU Tigers athletics.
