In the current era of College Football it feels like the vast majority of the players at Power Five programs have become stars. There are also some stars in the SEC who come from a long lineage of Football stardom within their family. Plenty of people grow up wanting to follow in their parents footsteps but, these players take it to the next level. Here are five players who you'll see on the field in the SEC who come from Football stardom.
Alabama - Dre Kirkpatrick Jr
This offseason, the Alabama Football team signed Dre Kirkpatrick Jr, the son of the former Two-Time All-American and Two-Time National Championship winning cornerback. It would've been pretty cool to see the younger Kirkpatrick following in his fathers footsteps learning under Nick Saban especially at the tail end of Saban's Alabama career book ending it with Kirkpatrick Sr's beginning. As a recruit, Kirkpatrick Jr was the 663rd best player in the class and the 34th ranked player in the state of Alabama.

LSU - Mason Taylor
As he enters his third season as a key piece at LSU it's well noted that Mason Taylor is the son of NFL Hall of Famer Jason Taylor. While Jason gave offenses nightmares, Mason gives defenses nightmares as one of the best tight ends in the entire country. We'll see Taylor put together his best season yet as a Junior before he'll likely head to the NFL as a first round pick.

Tennessee - Christian Harrison
At the star position for the Tennessee Volunteers you'll see Christian Harrison and the name won't exactly jump off the screen right away. Christian however, is the son of All-Pro safety and Patriots star Rodney Harrison. Harrison has played sparingly over the past two seasons at Tennessee but, he's poised for a breakout year for the Vols.

Texas A&M - EJ Smith
The past few seasons, you've likely seen EJ Smith on the Stanford Cardinals but, he now joins a loaded running back room at Texas A&M. The fans in Texas will love EJ Smith thanks to what his father Emmitt gave the Cowboys throughout his career. EJ Smith returns home and will be a key piece in Texas A&M's backfield after rushing for 218 yards an a touchdown in 2023.

Texas A&M - Moose Muhammad
Entering his Senior season at Texas A&M, Moose Muhammad is a mainstay in College Station contributing across three seasons for the Aggies. Moose is the son of former Michigan State standout and NFL All-Pro Muhsin Muhammad. Given all the departures in Texas A&M's receiving room, you can expect a massive Senior season from Muhammad.
