One of the biggest storylines for the LSU Football team on the recruiting trail currently is the recruitment of defensive tackle Jahkeem Stewart. The in-state star is the number one overall recruit in the 2026 recruiting class and a recruit LSU desperately wants to land. Last week, Jahkeem Stewart pulled out of St Augustine to transfer High Schools most likely so he could reclassify into the 2025 recruiting class.

There was a ton of buzz that Jahkeem Stewart would transfer out of state to one of the bigger prep schools so he could make the jump. Today, Jahkeem Stewart enrolled at Edna Karr which is incredible news for the LSU Football team.

Stewart is ineligible for the 2024 high school season so he won't play this year unless something changes but, he'll likely be able to reclassify.

The reason this is so massive for the LSU Football Program is two fold. First off, Stewart remains in the state which means LSU will remain the closest school for when he wants to take visits for games so LSU should get him onto campus a few times this fall.

The other reason this is so massive for LSU is because he chose to go to Edna Karr. The Tigers have a great track record recruiting from Edna Karr as they hold two commitments from Richard Anderson and Aiden Hall in the 2026 class and TaRon Francis in the 2025 class which will help as they're now teammates with Stewart.

In the past LSU has also landed Racey McMath, Tygee Hill, Andre Anthony, Donnie Alexander, and transfer Aaron Anderson all who attended Edna Karr.

The only downside is, Eric Henderson USC's primary recruiter attended Edna Karr which could play a major factor in this recruitment.

An All out push for Jahkeem Stewart

The Junior defensive lineman is already one of the Nation's most sought after recruits and if the move is fully made to the 2025 class it'll become an all out war for Stewart. LSU, USC, and Ohio State have all battled to land Stewart and given that he was in the building for the game against USC the Trojans may be the leader. Given the fact that this timeline will be pushed up a year, it's safe to say that Stewart will be racking up frequent flyer miles this month.
