Roster cut down day is always one of the sadder days in the NFL as nearly 1,000 players are cut from NFL teams right around the corner from the season. Often times, these cuts aren't shocking and you can see them coming but, other times the moves are certainly surprising.

Today, the Carolina Panthers cut former LSU Standout Terrace Marshall Jr making him a free agent unless he's claimed on waivers. Marshall played 36 games for the Panthers, recording 64 catches for 767 yards and a touchdown. This comes as a surprise as overall, Marshall has had an incredible training camp and preseason.

In joint practices against the Jets, Marshall was scoring non-stop making incredible plays against one of the leagues best defenses. In the preseason games, Marshall caught five passes for 53 yards and a touchdown further making it seem like he'd make the roster.

The Panthers may have given up on Marshall, but its hard to say his lack of production was his fault. Marshall has had Bryce Young, Andy Dalton, PJ Walker, Sam Darnold, Baker Mayfield, and Cam Newton as his quarterbacks over the past three years which shows how dysfunctional the franchise has been and how bad the quarterback play has been.

This could lead to an incredible LSU Football reunion

If you're looking for the most ideal landing spot for Terrace Marshall Jr, one immediatley comes to mind. How incredible would it be if the Bengals claimed Marshall, reuniting him with Joe Burrow and Ja'Marr Chase. The LSU magic has continued in Cincinnati as the Bengals are constantly a contender for the Super Bowl. If Marshall landed with the Bengals, it would be the perfect change of scenery as he'd get back around the core he had alongside him at his best at LSU.
