Heading into the 2024-25 season, it will likely be the final year for most of the players that LSU landed in it's 2021 recruiting class. According to 24/7 Sports, the LSU Football team landed the third-best recruiting class in 2021 behind only Alabama and Ohio State. Heading into what is likely the final year for a majority of this class, here is who LSU brought in and how they've panned out so far.

The Five Star

Maason Smith - Defensive Tackle

The career of Maason Smith at LSU will always be a massive "what if" as the highs were incredibly high. The issue for Smith was never talent but, staying healthy as he missed the majority of two seasons with a leg injury and a torn ACL. Smith was still a massive success for LSU recording 46 tackles, 6.5 sacks, and two pass deflections for his career. Smith would go on to become an early second-round pick showing success for both sides.
