When the Florida Gators and the Florida State Seminoles each dropped their season openers teams across the country started to perk up as it presented a chance to flip some of their highly ranked commitments. Now that the Seminoles are 0-3 and the Gators are 1-2, teams will have every chance to flip these recruits.

The Gators are the most susceptible despite having the better record as everyone around the country believes that Billy Napier's next loss could be his last at Florida. The Gators have had little success under Napier and this season hasn't changed much.

The Seminoles at 0-3 have been an utter disaster as Mike Norvell is quickly realizing that rebuilding via the transfer portal isn't the best way to build a roster. Norvell's roster would be much better if he recruited better as the classes making up his team were ranked 12th, 22nd, 23rd, and 21st. Norvell has been susceptible to Signing Day flips losing top recruits like Travis Hunter and KJ Bolden on National Signing Day.

For the LSU Football program, some of the Tigers top recruiting targets landed at these schools over LSU despite having the Tigers in their finalists.

CJ Wiley is a wide receiver the LSU Football team pushed hard for this recruiting cycle. Wiley is a legacy recruit as the son of Chuck Wiley a two-time All-SEC defensive end for LSU in the 1990's. It came as a shock that Wiley chose Florida State as nearly everyone had him crystal balled to Georgia. Steve Wiltfong of On3 has stated that LSU is still in communication and the Tigers could remain in the picture as they try to land another receiver in this class.

On3 ranks Wiley as the 79th-best player in the class and the 13th-ranked wide receiver in the class.

The player LSU tried to flip the most this spring was Florida State offensive line commit Solomon Thomas. Thomas is the Nation's top recruit at the interior offensive line and a five-star recruit according to every service except for On3. The Tigers got Thomas onto campus twice this spring and it seemed like LSU was going to pull off the flip but, they never did. Now as the Seminoles are 0-3, LSU should pick up its push for Solomon Thomas and they should try to get him to campus for one of these loaded recruiting weekends.

The Gators don't have a ton of commitments who LSU was heavily recruited but, a name to watch will be Naeshaun Montgomery. The four-star receiver visited a ton last season and was back on campus this summer for his official visit. It'll be tough to lure him out of Florida especially as Miami can come calling but, LSU was in his finalists when he committed.

Finishing off this loaded class with a bang

As things currently stand, the LSU Football team holds the Nation's third ranked recruiting class trailing only Alabama and Ohio State. The Tigers are in striking distance of landing the Nation's top recruiting class but, it'll take a massive commitment or two. Landing Solomon Thomas would give LSU a fourth five-star recruit, the most in the country and it would also help LSU in potentially surpassing the two teams ahead of them. Getting a receiver like Montgomery or Wiley would be massive for this recruiting class and in replacing some of the veteran receivers LSU may lose to the draft.
