The LSU Tigers will have another athlete in the Olympics and not only will she be in the Olympics but, she'll be a favorite to take home the Gold Medal. Sha'Carri Richardson is heading to her first Olympics, qualifying after being ruled in-eligible for the 2020 Olympics. Richardson missing out on the Olympics in 2020 was a travesty that drew support for Richardson from the President but, now there will be no issue.

Richardson has qualified for the 100 Meter Dash on Saturday Night at Night Two of the US Olympic Track and Field Qualifiers. Not only did Richardson qualify but, she ran the fastest time of any woman in the event this year with a blazing 10.71 Second 100 Meter Dash.

The time will also likely land Richardson on the 4 by 100 Meter Relay team where the United States will look to win after finishing second to Jamaica by just .43 seconds\ in the Tokyo Olympics.

Richardson will join LSU Alumni Mondo Duplantis, Nathaneel Mitchell Blake, Ella Onojuvwevwo, Favour Ofilii, Tima Godbless, and Shakeem McKay as the former Tigers competing in the track portion of the olympics.

Sha'Carri Richardson deserves her Gold Medal

After qualifiying for the 2020 Olympics but, being unable to compete due to a rule everyone felt was unfair no athlete deserves an Olympic Gold Medal more than Richardson. She'll enter the Olympics as the heavy favorite to take home the Gold in the 100 Meter dash. If all goes well we may get to see her alongside fellow LSU alum Aleia Hobbs in the 4 x 100 meter relay.
