On Monday afternoon, the LSU Baseball team got its NCAA Tournament draw starting with the Chapel Hill Regional. In the Chapel Hill Regional, the Host is North Carolina, the Nation's fourth overall seed while LSU will also be joined by Long Island (4th Seed) and Wofford (3rd Seed).

The winner of the Chapel Hill Regional will face the winner of the Tuscon Regional hosted by the Arizona Wildcats with Dallas Baptist University, West Virginia, and Grand Canyon University all looking to advance to Super Regionals.

The LSU Tigers will begin their road towards repeating as National Champions against Wofford on Friday, May 31st at 11:00 AM Central Time. If the Tigers win they'll play at 4 PM CT against the winner of UNC and Long Island while if they lose they'll play at 11:00 AM CT on Saturday. The unbeaten team will face off against the Loser's bracket champion on Sunday at 5:00 PM CT and if needed the final game of the Regional will be played on Monday with the time to be announced.

The Regional is very winnable for the LSU Tigers, especially with how the team has been playing as of late. Beating the Tar Heel at home will be the most difficult challenge as the Tar Heels went 32-2 at home this season.

In the opening game, the Tigers will face either Wofford Ace Zac Cowan who has a 3.55 ERA on the year after going 9-2 over 104 innings of work or left-hander Kenny Michaels who has a 4.20 ERA across 45.0 innings of work.

The decision Jay Johnson will have to make is if he wants to use Gage Jump or Luke Holman in the opener or if he wants to save both for potential matchups with North Carolina. Jump and Holman are both coming off of stellar pitching performances and could be the key to an LSU return to Omaha.

Where to watch the LSU Baseball Team

The opening round of the regional is the only game with a confirmed TV plan as the LSU baseball team will face off against on ESPNU at 11:00 AM CT. The games will be played on some combination of ESPN channels and ESPN+ as the UNC vs Long Island game will take place on ESPN+. We'll be sure to share further details on scheduling and start times as the games approach so be sure to stay tuned.
