The LSU Baseball team just picked up a massive series win over the Nation's top team in the Texas A&M Aggies. The Tigers won games one and two before dropping the final game 14-4. The Series win gives the LSU Baseball team a massive boost to its resume as the postseason is rapidly approaching. Prior to the start of the series, LSU was ranked 41st in the RPI rankings, the series win should see the team take a jump into the top 30.

The LSU Baseball team has a great chance to now build back up its record while also making a run within the SEC. Next week, the Tigers will face off against Northwestern State before heading to Tuscaloosa for what will be a massive series for both teams. A winning week will put the Tigers in a great position to make a run prior to the SEC Tournament.

The following week, LSU Baseball will host the Ole Miss Rebels who've struggled in conference play as well.

The Tigers after knocking off the Aggies can ill afford to drop a series against Alabama or Ole Miss as they continue their push for the NCAA Tournament. The team is getting hot at the right time and if it can continue to build on the momentum it could be yet another exciting summer for the Tigers.

Can the pitching continue to be the X-Factor?

The biggest reason for the LSU Baseball team's series victory this weekend was pitching as the staff held a potent Aggies offense to four runs in each of the first two games. If the LSU Baseball team can continue to get dominant efforts out of the starting rotation then this team should have no issues earning their way into the NCAA Tournament.
