LSU Basketball jumps into the running for four-star guard recruit
While the LSU Football team starting its Summer Workouts and LSU Baseball's run in the NCAA Tournament has garnered the majority of the attention, the LSU Basketball team is set to return to campus for its Summer Workouts. The LSU Basketball team signed a solid recruiting class that will look to return this team to contending status in the SEC and they'll look to do so again with the 2025 recruiting class.
The LSU Basketball team has recently jumped into the running for Oak Hill Academy star Kaden Magwood. The LSU Basketball team offered Kaden Magwood a scholarship on Friday, joining a massive group of team's that offered him a scholarship in May. The shooting guard is a four-star recruit ranked as the 97th ranked recruit in the class and the 24th ranked shooting guard.
As things currently stand, there's no clear cut favorite to land Magwood spelling a positive sign for the LSU Basketball team. As a player, Magwood is incredibly impressive with a great blend of playmaking, shooting ability, and athleticism. If LSU can push for Magwood, landing him would give LSU one of the country's most underrated players who could easily push himself into the conversation to become a five-star.
It's time for LSU Basketball to get rolling on the recruiting trail
As things currently stand, the LSU Basketball team hasn't landed any commitments however it has offered 59 players scholarships. Thus far, LSU has to feel great about where they stand with Kaidon Rayfield, Colt Langdon, Jalen Reece, and in-state star Chris Cenac. The LSU Basketball team will need to elevate it's game on the recruiting trail as SEC teams are continuing to take massive steps recruiting. The talent level in the SEC is getting to the highest it's ever been and if LSU can't get back to the recruiting level they were at under Will Wade, than Matt McMahon may be in trouble.
