The LSU Basketball program doesn't have a commitment yet in the 2025 recruiting class however, that doesn't mean that Matt McMahon has been unsuccessful. The Tigers have been pushing hard for a ton of the Nation's best recruits making the finalists lists for players like King Grace, Nyk Lewis, Jaden Toombs, and Jalen Reece among others. These are all incredible players and they'd be massive gets for Matt McMahon however, they aren't the top priority.

That would be five-star center Chris Cenac who grew up in New Orleans but, currently plays High School Basketball for Link Academy in Missouri. On3 ranks Cenac as the fifth ranked player in this class and as the top center in the class. The lowest any recruiting service ranks Cenac is Rivals who ranks him the 17th best player in the class.

The LSU Basketball team picked up some great news from Cenac as the Tigers make the cut as one of his twelve top teams.

As Matt McMahon looks to rebuild the LSU Basketball program, landing a player like Chris Cenac is the top priority. The Tigers just brought in an impressive signing class however, that class was filled with guards and a power forward.

If LSU were to land Chris Cenac you could envision a starting five consisting of Cenac and 2024 signees Vyctorius Miller, Curtis Givens, and Robert Miller

One Elite Talent can change everything for LSU Basketball

The LSU Tigers play in what's become the best basketball conference in the country which makes it hard to rebuild. Everything could change however, if LSU Basketball landed the one dominant star that can kickstart a program. Given Cenac's ties to Louisiana this is the biggest recruiting target of McMahon's time at LSU and his success may be dependent upon landing him.
