Morris Claiborne was a lockdown corner on some great LSU defenses. He didn’t play much as a freshman in 2009, but in 2010 he started all 12 games and finished with five interceptions.

The next year, Claiborne was even better. LSU’s defense was loaded in 2011 and barely allowed over 10 points a game, but Claiborne might have been the best of the bunch. He finished the year with six interceptions and was named a consensus All-American.

In fact, Claiborne was the best player on his side of the ball in the entire conference and was named the SEC Defensive Player of the Year and the Jim Thorpe Award winner as the nation’s best defensive back.

Claiborne was selected sixth overall by the Dallas Cowboys in the 2012 NFL draft.
