LSU Football continues its in-state recruiting success landing cornerback commit
The LSU Football team continues to surge on the recruiting trail as it builds out what is currently ranked as the Nation's third-ranked recruiting class. The LSU Football team now holds ten commitments from in-state recruits with 25 total commitments. The Tigers have been so dominant on the recruiting trail that LSU is nearing its highest-ranked recruiting class in program history.
The LSU Football team added the tenth in-state commitment as the Tigers landed in-state cornerback Aidan Anding. The Ruston cornerback chose the LSU Tigers over the Arkansas Razorbacks and the Texas Longhorns. Anding is a three-star recruit according to all four major recruiting services averaging out to the 401st ranked recruit in the country and the 37th ranked cornerback in the class.
Despite being an in-state recruit, Anding didn't always appear headed to LSU as Texas was the early favorite. The Tigers pushed hard late for Anding and were able to get him to push his commitment date pushed back continuing their push.
The Tigers now hold three commitments at cornerback as LSU is doing an incredible job of recruiting the players to rebuild "DBU". Corey Raymond landed two of his top out-of-state targets in DJ Pickett and Kade Phillips before circling back to land Aidan Anding. The Tigers are landing such an impressive class of defensive backs and it's a massive testament to Corey Raymond and Jake Olsen.
All eyes on Jonah Williams for the LSU Football program
The LSU Football team would be happy if on National Signing Day, they signed the class of committed defensive backs. However, there's still one more massive recruiting target left on the board for the LSU Football team in safety Jonah Williams. The Tigers will hope to land Williams later tonight as one of his finalists but, the momentum appears to be with the Texas Longhorns. Landing Williams would be the cherry on top of an incredible recruiting class and could push LSU into the top ranking of recruiting classes.
