LSU football fans and players start a social media campaign to entice coveted 2024 prospect to Baton Rouge

The 2024 LSU football recruiting class is sitting pretty with a pair of five-star recruits and a No. 7 ranking. Such is not good enough for players and fans campaigning hard to bring another top prospect to Baton Rouge.

One of the best fan dynamics in contemporary college football is when people come together to campaign for a player to join their favorite program. As such, a campaign by LSU football players and fans on social media is ongoing.

Their target is 2024 five-star ATH Terry Bussey.

#BusseyBus2BR remains trending on X (Twitter). The hashtag is a collective calling on Bussey to jump on the proverbial bus and head for Baton Rouge. Many Tiger fans have included photos of the Timpson (Tex.) prospect’s uniformed photo shoot during an official visit to Tiger Stadium.

The campaign appears to have captured Bussey’s attention.

LSU recruiting specialist Sherman Wilson went further and trolled Texas A&M with a thread of Harold Perkins’ photos in an Aggie uniform, followed by his commitment to LSU post circa February 2022.

Indeed, LSU football fans are hoping for another national signing day letdown for Texas A&M that doubles as a massive gain for LSU.

Bussey committed to College Station last fall but has kept his recruitment open since. Moreover, the 5-foot-11, 190-pound prospect demonstrated an elevated interest in the Tigers after Texas A&M fired Jimbo Fisher and DJ Durkin left for Auburn. Such includes multiple visits to Baton Rouge.
He made his final visit to LSU earlier this week before making a final visit to College Station on Friday.

Brian Kelly would love to add Bussey’s skillset to a roster actively rebuilding its secondary. Bussey primarily played wide receiver in high school, but has expressed a desire to play two-way football similar to Colorado’s Travis Hunter.

Bussey opted against signing with a team during the early signing period and will commit on Wednesday’s national signing day. We’re joining the “Bussey bus to Baton Rouge” movement and challenge him to join the next great era of LSU football.
