We head into the final week of Preseason Games in the NFL with a ton of excitement for the NFL Season. Nearly every starting roster spot has been earned and this final week will be used mostly for deciding the last ten roster spots for each team. The LSU Football team's three first-round rookies will likely sit this week out after they've earned starting spots.

Heading into the 2024 season, LSU has to be the front runner to have an Alumni to win the Offensive Rookie of the Year Award.

These awards are often given to quarterbacks over any other position and LSU has one in Jayden Daniels. On Monday, Daniels was named the Week One starter meaning he'll play the entire season which will give him a chance at the Award. Daniels enters the NFL with a true number one receiver in Terry McLaurin as well as capable weapons in Jahan Dotson, Austin Ekeler, Dyami Brown, and Zach Ertz which will help his transition.

When Daniels entered the league he and Malik Nabers nearly made a bet on who would win Rookie of the Year and now, they look like the front runners. Not only will Malik Nabers start for the Giants but, he's emerged as the team's true top receiver. It's tough for a receiver to win in a class loaded with Quarterbacks but, Nabers will put up impressive marks. The only concern for Malik Nabers will be if Daniel Jones is able to play well enough to get the ball to Nabers.

Finally, LSU has a true dark horse candidate, Brian Thomas Jr., with the Jacksonville Jaguars. This Preseason, Thomas has flown under the radar but, in his limited playing time this Summer he's been a standout with some impressive catches. The situation Thomas has landed in is the best as he has a capable starting quarterback and is surrounded by Veterans in the receiving room.
