The LSU Football team has landed Louisiana native three-star running back JT Lindsey as a part of the 2025 recruiting class. Lindsey was offered on April 9th and committed once he arrived in town for his visit for the Spring Game. Lindsey ranks as the 11th-ranked running back in the class and the fifth-ranked recruit in Louisiana per On3 recruiting Rankings. The Tigers have the third-ranked recruiting class in the country where Lindsey joins the 1st ranked running back in the country and Louisiana's top player in Harlem Berry.

Lindsey spoke on why he committed to LSU saying the following:

"The culture, the coaches, the people. It is the best thing in the world, they have the best coaching staff in the country. Look at the stats and what they produce."

Lindsey was dominant during his junior year of high school racking up 1,729 rushing yards with 26 touchdowns showing tons of ability as a rusher, receiver, and as a returner. He'll bring the LSU offense a big play ability in a recruiting class filled with highly touted recruits.

Brian Kelly is doing an unbelievable job this year with keeping in-state talent at home. Seven of the top ten recruits in the state have committed to Kelly and LSU while the fourth-ranked recruit in the state James Simon is trending towards LSU.

LSU's race for the Nation's top recruiting class

As things currently stand LSU's second-ranked recruiting class lands only behind Ohio State in a tight race for the top class. LSU will have every chance to jump Ohio State before National Signing Day, especially with top-ranked recruits James Simon, Micah DeBose, Walter Mathis, and Dilan Battle trending toward LSU. The recruiting class only has three recruits on the defensive side of the football which will certainly change as LSU continues to push for the top class in the Country. After the defense has let down a dominant offense in the past few seasons you'd like to see Kelly improve the defense with top-tier SEC Talent.
