LSU Football lands in-state four-star defensive back Jhase Thomas
Thus far, the month of July has been very friendly to the LSU Football team as they've reeled in top defensive recruits Zion Williams, Brandon Brown, and Damien Shanklin all in July. The next week is of equal importance as defensive backs Jhase Thomas, Jaboree Antoine, and DJ Pickett are all set to announce along with wide receivers Derek Meadows and Phillip Wright.
The LSU Football team starts the week long stretch off right landing in-state defensive back Jhase Thomas from Destrehan. On3 ranks Jhase Thomas as a four-star recruit, the 270th best player in the class, the 22nd best safety in the class, and the 10th best player in Louisiana. Thomas chose LSU over Colorado, Houston, Ole Miss, and Texas Tech.
Landing Jhase Thomas is massive for LSU as he becomes the 2025 recruiting class's only defensive back commitment after Jaboree Antoine de-committed last month. The Tigers may also get some help from Jhase Thomas as his teammate and close friend Phillip Wright is set to announce his commitment today choosing between Georgia, Michigan, and LSU.
Tigers need this momentum to carry on the rest of this week
The LSU Football team needs to continue it's hot streak over the next few days with key commitment announcements looming. On Wednesday, the Nation's top defensive recruit DJ Pickett will announce his commitment with LSU in the picture, Pickett has a strong bond with Corey Raymond giving LSU a decent chance. Next Saturday will be massive as former LSU Commit and top-100 recruit Jaboree Antoine commits while borderline five-star recruit Derek Meadows will announce as well. The Tigers are certainly in the mix for both players with certain insiders believing the team leads for both players while everyone knows they're being considered. The Tigers have one of the Nation's best recruiting classes but, this week could see LSU return to the top 3.
