LSU Football lands its second commitment at tight end in the 2025 recruiting class
The LSU Football team entered the day with two of the their top recruiting targets set to commit with LSU hats on the table. The LSU Football team has landed the first of their recruiting targets on the day as three-star tight end Mike Tyler commits to LSU.
Tight Ends coach Slade Nagle instantly made Tyler one of his top targets which made LSU the team to beat early on. Tyler picked LSU over Duke and West Virginia. On3's Industry Recruiting rankings have Tyler ranked as the 38th-ranked tight end in the class.
Tyler joins JD LeFleur as the second commitment at tight end and likely the last tight end LSU takes this cycle. Since Brian Kelly's arrival in Baton Rouge, the tight end room has been consistently filled with capable tight ends.
This offensive class as a whole is incredible and arguably one of the best in school history. The Tigers hold commitments from the Nation's top quarterback, running back, three of the top ten interior offensive linemen, and a solid trio of receivers with Derek Meadows, TaRon Francis, and Phillip Wright. The biggest target for LSU remaining is Jaime Ffrench who will commit on August 30th, landing a five star receiver in this class would top off an unreal class.
Tight end room is set for a long time at LSU
This season, Mason Taylor will lead the group and he should be the only tight end that LSU loses to the draft or the transfer portal. The year after it'll be led Ka'Morreun Pimpton and Trey'Dez Green which will be one of the most athletic pairings at tight end in the country. Trey' Dez Green will then take hold of the room with the incoming recruits which will once again make the room three deep.
