LSU football legend Joe Burrow is the only savior from this annoying NFL trend

The Kansas City Chiefs have won back-to-back Super Bowls. For several reasons, the world needs Joe Burrow to heal and save us from a potential Swifty-fueled three-peat.

The Super Bowl LVIII confetti in Las Vegas fell, and the attention has shifted to Super Bowl LIX in New Orleans. Simultaneously, the public cries out for a hero to step up and stop the Kansas City Chiefs from further NFL domination.

Joe Burrow isn't the hero the public deserves, but he's the hero the public needs.

I don't dislike the Kansas City Chiefs, but like many football fans, I'm annoyed by them. Full disclosure: I'm annoyed by any team that wins a lot unless it's my favorite team. Most fans agree. As such, every fan outside Missouri and Kansas City natives is already sick of the Chiefs winning.

Patrick Mahomes is a special quarterback on a pace to eclipse Tom Brady in Super Bowl wins, but he must be stopped. LSU football legend Joe Burrow was the last opposing quarterback to stop Mahomes from playing for the Lombardi Trophy. Indeed, the 2021 NFL season was remarkable when the 10-7 Cincinnati Bengals upset the Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium in the AFC Championship Game.

The NFL needs a repeat in 2024.

We need Joe Burrow healthy, well-protected, and for the Bengals to get back on track for a fourth Super Bowl appearance in franchise history. If Burrow is in the Super Bowl, then Kansas City is not, and that will make us happy.

Seeing Burrow back in the Super Dome and playing for another championship would be euphoric.

Of course, most LSU football fans' NFL allegiances are with the New Orleans Saints. But I think most fans will agree that the likelihood of Dennis Allen's team earning a trip to Super LIX is unbelievable. Conversely, the odds of the 2021 Bengals playing in Super Bowl LVI after winning four games in 2020 were unbelievable. Anything can happen, I suppose.

The best-case scenario for LSU football fans is a New Orleans Saints vs. Joe Burrow's Bengals Super in the Super Dome. Add Lil Wayne for a halftime show, and the state of Louisiana goes berserk.

Taylor Swift waited three months for her favorite team to win a Super Bowl while most fans wait or have waited much of their lives. It's unfair, and I don't know how much more Travis Kelce and Swifty rhetoric I can stomach.

Help us, Joe Burrow, you're our only hope.
