LSU Football makes a fascinating offer to a 2025 defensive end recruit
The LSU Football team is constantly making waves on the recruiting trail this year as they hold the Nation's third ranked recruiting class. We're used to seeing LSU in contention for five and four star recruits but, they've also taken chances on some developmental recruits.
The expansion of the College Football rosters starting next season will see programs like LSU sign players they normally wouldn't be able to with the hopes of developing them long-term. The Tigers made an offer to Tori Haastrup an edge rusher out of Texas in this upcoming class.
If you look at his recruiting profile, it's not an error he's currently rated as a zero-star recruit. This weekend, the Texas native played his first ever high school football game where he recorded four sacks.
The game tape is impressive in fact, so impressive that LSU offered him a scholarship but, they weren't alone. Ole Miss, SMU, Illinois, and Texas Tech are among the ten schools to offer him a scholarship.
As his recruitment kicks off fast it'll be interesting to see how quick LSU can make a push to standout. The Tigers are benefited by the fact that everyone is starting to recruit him at the same time and that the Tigers are one of his biggest offers.
Could make for an incredible development story for LSU
It's an awesome story to see a kid go out and dominate in his first ever High School football game as a Senior and he then gets a ton of Power Five offers. LSU will be able to pitch him on Bo Davis and Kevin Peoples who are two of the best developers of talent at any level of football. If LSU can get Haastrup onto campus sooner rather than later, the Tigers may have a good shot at landing him.
