The LSU Football program is entering the final stretch of the recruiting cycle this weekend as the host top recruits from around the country. The Tigers are attempting to finish off this recruiting class wit the hope of moving from third in the recruiting team rankings to first.

The biggest talk thus far has been about LSU’s attempts to reel in five stars Jonah Williams and Jaime Ffrench however the Tigers may have a new top target.

This week, the LSU Football staff extended an offer to Utah native Jerome Myles. 24/7 Sports ranks Myles as a five-star recruit as the 30th ranked recruit in the class and the fifth ranked receiver.

The competition for Myles says a ton about how talented of a player he is. Earlier this year, Myles was an Ole Miss commit while Utah and Michigan May have been the front runners before LSU and Ohio State joined the race.

The Tigers remain in contention for Jaime Ffrench and Kaliq Lockett at receiver while they also hosted in-state receiver Phillip Wright this weekend at Bayou Splash. The biggest upside for LSU in the recruitment of Myles compared to with Ffrench and Lockett is that this recruitment is seemingly wide open.

Bryce Underwood should be a massive factor in this recruitment

The biggest asset that LSU has when recruiting offensive playmakers is the nation's top recruit Bryce Underwood. The pitch to Myles will be simple from LSU, we have the top quarterback in the country passing to you while we've put some of the best receivers into the NFL as of late. Myles is yet to set a date for his commitment giving LSU a ton of time to make up ground on Utah, Ole Miss, and Michigan especially if they miss out on Ffrench and Lockett.
