The LSU Football team pulled off a massive comeback on Saturday, coming back from down 17-0 on the road to knock off the South Carolina Gamecocks. The performance in the second half was much needed as the offense found their rhythm and the defense limited big plays for the most part against a quality opponent. The Tigers now add a quality win to their resume which looked even better based on how Kentucky played against Georgia.

The Tigers entered the game ranked 17th in the US LBM Coaches poll which isn't good enough for the team's end goal of making the College Football Playoff. After beating South Carolina, the Tigers have moved up one spot in the coaches' poll to 16th.

While the Poll doesn't have any connection with the College Football Playoff committee it is a great indicator of how the country sees any team.

One of the biggest positives for the LSU Football team is the fact that their remaining opponents are still ranked highly. The Tigers will host Ole Miss ranked 5th followed by 4th-ranked Alabama and 13th-ranked Oklahoma all before the end of the season. On the other end of the spectrum, it hurts LSU that UCLA, Texas A&M, Florida, and Arkansas have struggled.

Handle Business and the Tigers will climb

While the next two games against UCLA and South Alabama don't have a big game feel against top opponents handling business is still important for LSU. Over the three weeks before LSU plays Ole Miss, a ton of the teams ranked ahead of LSU will play difficult games and depending how things go, LSU could certainly move their way up the rankings with a chance to join the top ten if they knock off Ole Miss.
