LSU Football pushing for former Alabama WR Commit Jamie Ffrench

The LSU Football team currently holds the 2nd ranked recruiting class with commitments from the top quarterback, top running back, and top wide receiver. Despite an incredible haul offensively in this recruiting class, the LSU Football team isn't done yet in pursuing top-end talent.

The LSU Tigers are in the race for five-star wide receiver Jaime Ffrench the class's fifth-ranked wide receiver and the 23rd-ranked player in the class. The five-star receiver was committed to Alabama before de-committing upon Nick Saban's retirement.

Helping LSU thus far has been Bryce Underwood who was in town for the Spring Game where five-star receivers Jaime Ffrench and Caleb Cunningham were in town on unofficial visits. LSU is one of four schools that Ffrench scheduled an official visit with as he'll return to Baton Rouge on June 1st.

Ffrench spoke on his visit for the Spring Game and meeting Bryce Underwood saying the following:

"It was a big impact on the LSU Visit. It was very eye-opening with him there."

The LSU Football team will need to overcome the apparent front runners in Texas and Ohio State to land Ffrench. The Tigers have a few factors working in their favor starting with Ffrench having family in Louisiana, the track record of getting receivers to the pros, and the chance to play alongside some of the most talented players in the recruiting class.

LSU Football: The push for the nation's top class continues

The LSU Football team has a serious chance at landing the Nation's top recruiting class and possibly the greatest recruiting class ever. The Tigers have been pushing for Mississippi State commit Jeramiah McCloud who reopened his recruitment this weekend by de-committing. The team is also in a great spot with defensive tackle Xavier Ukponu thanks to Bo Davis' connection from his time at Texas. The LSU Tigers are continuing their push for a historic recruiting class and if Brian Kelly and the staff pull it off the sky will truly be the limit in the next few years.
