LSU Football set to host it's first jam packed recruiting weekend of the season
Zion Williams, Tyler Miller, Phillip Wright, Brett Bordelon, JT Lindsey, and Jhase Thomas all of whom are committed to LSU will be in town. The trip isn't far for the in-state commits so, you'd love to have them on campus anytime you can to help with recruiting other players. It's also massive to have out of state players like Tyler Miller and Zion Williams on campus any chance you can as it means they aren't visiting any of the schools attempting to flip them.
The Tigers will also play host to 2025 recruit Brent Gordon who is currently committed to UL Lafayette. The safety currently isn't ranked as a recruit but, given that he's an in-state recruit the Tigers will certainly keep an eye on his Senior season.
The Tigers will also host 2026 targets Lamar Brown, Alvin Celestine, Antonio Gladney, Ke'Rynn Smith, Kameron Casnave, and Cole Bergeron.
Brown is one of LSU's biggest targets, ranked as the sixth best recruit in the country and the top interior offensive line although, he could easily play defensive tackle as well. LSU has hosted Brown a ton for camps and getting the University Labs star on board will be one of Brad Davis' top priorities.
Celestine, Gladney, Smith, and Casnave are all in-state running backs that Frank Wilson has his eye on, and while none of them have offers yet, keeping tabs on them is important. Finally, Cole Bergeron is an unranked quarterback out of Louisiana who could be a developmental option for LSU if they can't land a highly ranked quarterback in the class after Bryce Underwood.
Lajahren Cyprien is a star receiver out of Amite in the 2026 recruiting class and while LSU is the in-state school, Amite has always been a kryptonite area for LSU.
Reshad Sterling and DK Mays are the final two names to keep an eye on as LSU continues to flip players from Houston. Both are three-star recruits as Sterling is an edge rusher while Mays is a defensive tackle. Given the expanded rosters coming next season, don't be surprised if LSU pushes for a ton of these in-state recruits.
Keep building up the recruiting classes
The LSU Football team has the third-ranked recruiting class in 2025 and the eighth-ranked class in 2026. These recruiting weekends are massive for building relationships and landing commitments which is key. Landing another few commitments in-state before the end of the season in the 2026 class could be key as with 7 on 7 and high school showcases these recruits are often in contact.
