The LSU Tigers have been dominant in recruiting in-state under Brian Kelly but, LSU may have its biggest in-state recruiting battle yet. Five Star defensive lineman Jahkeem Stewart has reclassified out of the 2026 recruiting class and into the 2025 recruiting class.

Jahkeem Stewart was the top ranked player in the 2026 class and the top ranked defensive tackle, he's now the 19th ranked player in the 2025 class, the third ranked defensive lineman in the class, and the second best player in Louisiana according to On3.

Given how talented Stewart is, everyone in the country has tried to lure him out of state but, LSU has remained at or near the top of his list. This recruitment is now sped up which could be in LSU's favor as they've hosted him more than any other school.

The plan for Stewart is to sign on the December 3rd early signing day and to enter school as an early enrollee. For Brian Kelly, Bo Davis, and the Wilson's landing Stewart instantly becomes the top priority in finishing off this signing class. The state of Louisiana now has another five star recruit and landing a player like Stewart could lead to LSU finishing for the nation's top recruiting class.
