The WNBA Playoffs are ongoing and while the Chicago Sky aren't in the race for the Championship, Angel Reese is picking up accolades. The WNBA named its All Rookie team on Thursday and the LSU Tigers star made the cut for her incredible rookie season.

The other notable announcement today was the winner of the WNBA's Rookie of the Year Award. The voting wasn't even close as Caitlin Clark received 66 first-place votes while Angel Reese got one which kept Clark from being unanimous.

While Caitlin Clark is likely the rightful Rookie of the Year, the voting being so much in Clark's favor is pretty shocking. A factor in the decision was likely both the Chicago Sky's struggles this season and the fact that Reese missed the end of the season with an injury.

Clark finished the season averaging 19.2 points per game, 5.7 rebounds per game, and 8.4 assists per game. Reese wasn't far off averaging 13.6 points per game, 13.1 rebounds per game, 1.9 assists per game, and 1.3 steals per game.

The fact of the matter is, Reese had a historic Rookie season as she broke records setting the single season rebounds record and setting the record for the most consecutive games with a double-double and set both records as a Rookie.

While Clark won and that is fine, the fact that only one voter gave Angel Reese the credit for the history she made is shocking.
