Over the years, LSU has fielded some dominant receiving duos from Malik Nabers and Brian Thomas Jr to Justin Jefferson and Ja'Marr Chase and Odell Beckham Jr and Jarvis Landry. The LSU Tigers as part of their 2025 recruiting class may be putting together their next great duo with a commitment from Dakorien Moore and target Kaliq Lockett.

Dakorien Moore is the top-ranked receiver and the third-ranked recruit overall while Kaliq Lockett is the second-ranked receiver and the 11th-ranked recruit overall.

The LSU Football program hosted Kaliq Lockett for the Spring Game in a star-studded recruiting weekend. In town was the program's biggest recruiter and top recruit in quarterback Bryce Underwood. Also in town for the Spring Game was LSU commit and top-ranked running back Harlem Berry who's the Nation's 16th ranked recruit.

The pitch to getting Kaliq Lockett to LSU will be simple, he'll be joining a star-studded recruiting class with some of the nation's best players. LSU can point to talented groups like Joe Burrow, Ja'Marr Chase, and Justin Jefferson or Jayden Daniels, Malik Nabers, and Brian Thomas where all the talent helped each other in becoming first-round picks.

The difference here would be that this group would be LSU's most talented group of recruits ever if they added Lockett as they'd have the nation's top quarterback, running back, and the top two receivers all in one recruiting class.

Lockett said the following about the possibility of joining this loaded recruiting class and playing alongside Moore:

"We'll break records with me and him, if we're able to play together."

LSU Football has a chance at history

If LSU landed the top quarterback, running back, and top two wide receivers it would be the only time it's been done with Alabama's 2017 class being the closest to achieving this feat. Brian Kelly has already done an unbelievable job with this class assembling some of the Nation's best talent while keeping elite talent in the state. There's a ton of time until National Signing Day but, this recruiting class has a chance to be the most anticipated group in school history of Brian Kelly and the staff can keep all of the pieces in place.
