The Tallahassee Quarterback Club Foundation has released its annual watchlist for the Biletnikoff Award. The Biletnikoff Award was first given out in 1994, and has been given out annualy to the best wide receiver in College Football. The LSU Tigers have had two winners when Ja'Marr Chase and Josh Reid took the Award home while they should've had a third winner last season in Malik Nabers however, Marvin Harrison Jr won by just one vote.

This season the LSU Tigers have one nominee in Wide Receiver CJ Daniels while Kyren Lacy was shockingly snubbed.

Last season despite being behind Malik Nabers and Brian Thomas Jr, Kyren Lacy was able to haul in 30 receptions for 558 yards and seven touchdowns averaging 18.6 yards per reception. In 2024, Kyren Lacy is expected to become the Tigers top receiver and he's looked the part thus far in camp.

It comes as a shock that Lacy was left off the list as he was great in 2023 as the third receiver in LSU's receiving core. If you were to ask LSU fans the vast majority would expect that Kyren Lacy has a far superior year than CJ Daniels and that isn't a knock on Daniels but, is showing respect to how good Lacy looks.

The lone nominee from the LSU Football team is Liberty transfer wide receiver CJ Daniels. Last season at Liberty, Daniels caught 55 passes for 1,067 yards and 10 touchdowns averaging 19.4 yards per reception.

This Summer, Daniels has started with the first unit at wide receiver and his experience and talent will be a key piece for LSU this season. The biggest asset that Daniels will bring to LSU is his ability in the intermediate to deep passing game as a player that could be LSU's deep threat.

The receiving room will still be explosive despite the losses

After losing Malik Nabers and Brian Thomas Jr, everyone is expecting that LSU's offense will take a step back. The Tigers have year over year produced star receivers in bunches and you should expect the receiving core will once again be explosive. The Tigers have eight legitimate wide receivers that are capable of being starting receivers and the rotation may actually be a benefit for the Tigers.
