The LSU Basketball season is right around the corner as Matt McMahon prepares his team for the upcoming season. While McMahon is practicing with his current team he has also been busy building for the future. The lead up to the basketball season is the biggest recruiting period as most players commit before their senior seasons.

McMahon has brought in top talent every weekend to come on official visits and it has been paying off. Earlier this month McMahon landed top 100 recruit Matt Gilhool on the heels of a visit.

McMahons latest recruiting victory is a big one on the heels of an official visit as he’s landed top 60 recruit Mazi Mosley.

Mosley picked LSU over the in-state USC Trojans, Michigan Wolverines, and the Iowa Hawkeyes. Mosley plays at the powerhouse Montverde Academy where Matt McMahon has had some success in the past.

On3's industry ranking ranks Mosley as the 62nd best player in the class and the 18th best shooting guard in the class. Mosley's uncle will be well known to fans not familiar with recruiting as he's the nephew of Magic Johnson.

This is a massive haul for McMahon already as he's lured in Matt Gilhool and Mazi Mosley but, he's not finished yet. The biggest priority remains luring in New Orleans native Chris Cenac who is one of the best recruits in the country.
