Heading into the NFL Draft the first few selections in the draft are nearly impossible to predict as after the first overall pick the next ten picks are impossible to speculate. As we approach the NFL Draft however more news is coming out with the latest bringing potential clarity to the draft position of LSU Wide Receiver Malik Nabers.

Connor Hughes of SNY said the following about Nabers and the Giants:

"Malik Nabers is a player the Giants covet. Most sources around the league expect him to be New York's pick if they can't get a quarterback."

The Giants hold the sixth overall pick in the NFL Draft meaning if they take Nabers he'd become the second highest picked receiver in school history only to Ja'Marr Chase who was picked fifth overall.

Nabers would join a receiving core that needs an influx of talent with Darius Slayton, Jalin Hyatt, and Wan'Dale Robinson. Malik Nabers would instantly become the Giants' top receiver as the future of Darius Slayton is cloudy as he holds out for a contract extension. The Giants have experience landing top receivers from LSU as Odell Beckham Jr became a superstar and Rueben Randle became a consistent contributor for the team.

Depending on how the draft falls, we could see Malik Nabers become the first receiver off the board on Thursday. It seems that Nabers' range to be selected now starts at four with the Arizona Cardinals and ends at Six with the Giants.

Which team is Malik Nabers best fit?

The New York Giants would allow for Nabers to be the top receiver from day one however, they may not be the best fit. The Cardinals and Chargers pair Nabers with a franchise quarterback while the Giants have no clear plan at quarterback. The Chargers would provide Nabers with the best fit of the three due to play alongside Justin Herbert. Nonetheless, Nabers will be a star wherever he ends up drafted.
