NFL Draft week provides LSU Football with the perfect recruiting platform
The LSU Football team has been dominant on the recruiting trail as they hold the Nation's second-ranked recruiting class with commitments from the top quarterback, running back, and wide receiver in the class. The LSU Football team really doesn't need much help with recruiting however, they'll have a perfect platform for it on Thursday.
Football fans across the country including high school recruits will turn on Thursday Night's NFL Draft where it'll be a celebration for LSU. One of the first three picks LSU will trot a transfer quarterback across the stage showing recruits everywhere that Brian Kelly can turn a quarterback from a disappointment to a Heisman Winner and top three draft selection.
Not too far after Jayden Daniels gets selected LSU Football will have it's next pick celebrated as Malik Nabers will be a top-ten selection. Nabers was an in-state kid that stayed home as a four-star recruit and was able to develop into a top ten selection.
In the middle of the first round LSU will flex it's muscles again as another receiver gets drafted in Brian Thomas Jr. Thomas is another example of a talented receiver that stayed in state and became a first round pick as well. What's rare about Thomas Jr is that he stayed and waited his turn developing into a monster for LSU.
On Day Two and Day Three of the NFL LSU Football will make a recruiting pitch to players on the defensive side of the football. Mekhi Wingo, Maason Smith, and Jordan Jefferson will all get drafted despite playing in the same defensive line room.
LSU Football: Kelly proving he'll get you to the pro's
With nearly all of America watching the NFL Draft, Brian Kelly will show recruits around the world that he's one of the best coaches at getting talent into the NFL. While other schools may be able to offer recruits more money in NIL or immediate playing time LSU's pitch will be clear. Going to LSU will give a recruit the best chance of making it to the NFL.
