LSU Tigers legend wide receiver Justin Jefferson is featured in the newest episode of the NFL Films documentary series "A Football Life: Origins," which is available to stream on NFL+ on Friday. It showcases Jefferson's Journey from a relative unknown to the NFL's best wide receiver. The episode will also air on NFL Network on Tuesday at 7 p.m. central for those that don't have an NFL + Subscription.

In the teaser for the documentary, the NFL released a clip where Jefferson talks about how he became an LSU Tiger. It wasn't because of his recruiting ranking as he was just a two-star recruit or because of the fact that his brothers played at LSU.

Jefferson talks about how LSU wasn't really recruiting him until he put on a show at one of LSU's camps. The camp earned Jefferson an offer which led to him committing and signing with LSU which ultimately led to a National Championship in 2019.

The story is incredible and part of the reason why the Summer recruiting camps that LSU hosts are so important. Jefferson's story is also a massive reason why you shouldn't overreact to the ranking of recruits that LSU signs. In his class, 202 receivers were ranked ahead of Justin Jefferson yet, he's the best of anyone in his class.
