Notre Dame falls to Northern Illinois a Week after trolling LSU for loss to USC

Last weekend was a weekend for the Notre Dame fans to pile on as they had themselves a weekend. Brian Kelly and the LSU Football team dropped their game to a very good USC Football team while Notre Dame knocked off Texas A&M in College Station.

Marcus Freeman was anointed by Notre Dame Fans while they took the entire week to troll LSU for hiring Brian Kelly. Fans commented on how Kelly is a "fraud", said that he'd never win a big game, and that LSU would be in trouble with Kelly at the helm long term.

After hyping themselves up for an entire week Notre Dame returned to South Bend as the Nation's fifth ranked team and lost to unranked Northern Illinois. The Irish paid Northen Illinois $1.4 Million dollars to come in and wreck their hopes of making the College Football Playoff.

You have to credit Notre Dame, they had their coach poached but, they were happy as Kelly would never win a big game right. Well now with Marcus Freeman at the helm all Notre Dame does is win the small ones. The Irish have now lost three times in Freeman's tenure as 16 point favorites or bigger.

The Irish now are in serious trouble to miss the College Football Playoff in Week Two. They don't play in a conference so they can only make the Playoff as an at large team which is now an uphill climb.

LSU Fans should enjoy this moment

It was a long week for LSU fans after losing to USC but, this should be the cherry on top for LSU fans this weekend as long as the Tigers take care of business. Every Tigers' fan likely caught some slack from a Notre Dame fan in their lives and now it's time to return the favor. From now on, when a Notre Dame fan piles on just laugh as all they is rooting for Brian Kelly losses and rewatching Rudy.
