Peyton Manning has high praise for LSU Quarterback Garrett Nussmeier
This week was another massive week for the development of some of the nation's top quarterbacks as quarterbacks headed to the Manning Passing Academy. The week Garrett Nussmeier joined a talented group of quarterbacks at Nicholls State University to attend the Camp.
Garrett Nussmeier has ties with the Manning family specifically, with Peyton Manning as his father Doug Nussmeier was a teammate of Peyton Manning's with the Indianapolis Colts. This week Nussmeier was able to get some coaching advice from the Manning's and impressed at the camp.
When asked about Nussmeier Peyton Manning had the following to say:
"I like Garrett. I've known his dad for years, we were old teammates and proud of Garrett. I've kept up with him throughout his High School and College Career. What a great bowl game he had, been patient, waited his turn and turned that game and took advantage of it. I see him having a really good season. He's a great kid and I've really enjoyed keeping up with his career."

The play of Nussmeier will be incredibly important this season especially as the LSU offense loses its two leading receivers. This season will mark the first year that Joe Sloan serves the role of offensive coordinator, which may sometimes have its ups and downs.
Garrett Nussmeier is incredibly easy to root for
Every season, we see tons of players heading to the transfer portal often to start as soon as possible. After a coaching change and after Brian Kelly brought in Jayden Daniels it wouldn't have been shocking if Garrett Nussmeier entered the transfer portal. However, Nussmeier stayed, learning behind Jayden Daniels and now Nussmeier and the LSU Football team will likely be better off for it.
