Power Ranking the SEC after Lane Kiffin and Ole Miss get stunned and the Tide Rolls
The Commodores were on a Bye this weekend and, Vandy was most likely just happy to see everyone else in the SEC dealing with chaos. The bad news for Vanderbilt's Cinderella story is that they'll face Alabama next but, maybe they catch the Tide off of an emotional win and make it a game.
The Aggies keep on finding ways to win football games without Connor Weigman which is all you can ask for. The Aggies didn't get above 300 yards yet, they won this game holding Arkansas to three second-half points. The Aggies have a ton of winnable games left on the schedule hosting LSU and Missouri while they'll have an uphill battle against Texas at home as well. A win over Missouri would have Texas A&M right back into the playoff picture.
It was the first start for Michael Hawkins Jr and it wasn't the prettiest of games but, Oklahoma left Jordan-Hare with a win. This game wasn't exactly an Oklahoma win but, an example of Auburn collapsing. The Sooners were certainly helped out by the fact that Auburn doesn't have the best of quarterbacks. Oklahoma will head into the bye week before facing Texas and its at the perfect time as Hawkins will have two weeks to better learn the offense.
The Gamecocks were on a bye this weekend but, their resume suddenly looks even better. Their win over Kentucky continues to look better as they've given Georgia a game and beat Ole Miss. Their lone loss to LSU won't get much hate given how LSU has played paired with the fact they lost LaNorris Sellers in the second half of that game. The Gamecocks now have a chance to bolster their resume once more as they'll face Ole Miss next weekend.
