In the first half, it looked like this Georgia team had some serious issues as Alabama took a 30-3 lead. The second half was pretty much all Bulldogs and it looked like they would win the game as they outscored Alabama 19-8. Georgia took the lead with 2:31 left in this game but, the defense showed its holes once again as Ryan Williams scored on the Tide's first play from scrimmage. On the final drive with a chance to win the game, Carson Beck threw his third interception of the game sealing the deal. Georgia will be alright but, they've now lost a game and struggled against Kentucky which should be a concern.

It was a bye week for the Tennessee Volunteers but, overall it was a successful week. Ole Miss took an unexpected loss while Alabama and Georgia showed some cracks. There are now just five teams left undefeated in the SEC including Tennessee which puts them in a great position to at least make the SEC Championship Game. Add in the fact that Oklahoma and NC State won their games boosting Tennessee's resume and it was a great weekend.

The Longhorns now officially have their first SEC under their belt improving to 5-0 on the season. Given how low the expectations were for Mississippi State you would have liked to see the Longhorns win in more impressive fashion. Arch Manning has been alright but, this team will be happy to get Quinn Ewers back. The Longhorns will go on the bye week but, they'll have their two biggest games of the season coming up against Oklahoma and Georgia.

We all talked about how Alabama lost Nick Saban and players like Caleb Downs to the transfer portal this offseason expecting a down year as Alabama transitioned. Instead, the Crimson Tide hosted Georgia in Tuscaloosa and issued and won in a thriller against the Bulldogs. Now the Tide did almost lose in unbelievable fashion but, true freshman Ryan Williams is unbelievable and helped the Tide avoid disaster.
