College Football season is officially upon us with games slated to kick off this week. The LSU football team has a ton of excitement as it looks much improved on the defensive side of the football in camp. As the games are just around the corner, its officially prediction time, here is how we see the LSU Football team fairing in 2024.

Week 1 - Vs USC Trojans in Las Vegas

For the first time since 2019, the LSU Football team wins their season opener in 2024 beating USC in Las Vegas. The Trojans like the Tigers have a ton of questions surrounding their team in 2024 and there's one simple reason the Tigers win out. LSU Football's offensive line is the best in the country and when facing a defensive front that has talent and depth issues this game becomes very simple for LSU. The Trojans have five incoming transfers starting on their defense three of which are in the secondary which will cause some early season problems.

Week 2 - Home vs Nicholls State Colonels

The Tigers will head back to Baton Rouge with a top 25 win and a ton of momentum where they'll then steamroll the Nicholls State Colonels. This game will likely serve as an audition for some of LSU's younger players in the receiver room, the secondary, and on the defensive line to see how they fair in game action and if they'll be able to contribute later in the season. The biggest concern with facing Nicholls will be staying healthy as LSU should have no issue winning this game.

Week 3 - Away At South Carolina Gamecocks

A ton of analysts have written of Shane Beamer and the Gamecocks in 2024 but, lets not get too ahead of ourselves. The Gamecocks offense will have a ton of talent especially on the outside which could create some trouble for LSU. Once again however, LSU's offensive line allows the Tigers to lean on South Carolina and LSU should be able to stretch this game out late. This game presents itself as a trap game as LSU will likely be flying high off of a 2-0 start while Shane Beamer will be coaching for his job.
