The LSU Football team is nearing the end of camp and the official start of the 2024 season. This week, the Tigers have started their preparations for the Week One game against LSU which means we should have an idea of who will start for the LSU Football team. Although the Tigers haven't released an offcial depth chart yet, this is what the lineup will most likely look like.

Quarterback:

Starter

Garrett Nussmeier

Redshirt Junior

Backup

AJ Swann

Junior

Third String

Rickie Collins

Redshirt Freshman

The only role up for debate is backup quarterback as AJ Swann and Rickie Collins battled for the job this summer with no clear winner. Given Swann's similarities to Garrett Nussmeier, he'll most likely earn the backup role given Collins' inexperience.

Running Back:

Starter(s)

Kaleb Jackson

Sophomore

Starter(s)

Josh Williams

Graduate Senior

Rotational Back

John Emery Jr

Redshirt Senior

Rotational Back

Caden Durham

Freshman

The backfield will be split by Kaleb Jackson and Josh Williams who was given the honor of wearing the 18 jersey this season. This camp, Jackson has looked like a star while LSU has veteran presences in Emery and Williams.

Wide Receiver:

Starters

Kyren Lacy

Chris Hilton

CJ Daniels

Back Ups

Aaron Anderson

Zavion Thomas

Kyle Parker

Third String

Jelani Watkins

Shelton Sampson

Kylan Billiot

The receiver room is pretty cut and dry heading into the season despite the massive turnover in the room. Kyren Lacy and CJ Daniels should lead this team in receiving and could easily both eclipse the 1,000-yard mark. True Freshmen Jelani Watkins and Kylan Billiot bring a ton of excitement and could creep up the depth chart once they see playing time.

Tight End:

Starter

Mason Taylor

Junior

Second-String

Ka'Mourreun Pimpton

Sophomore

Third String

Trey'Dez Green

Freshman

If anyone has won camp this Summer it's the tight end position even with Mac Markway entering the transfer portal. Mason Taylor will be one of the Nation's top tight ends again but, it's what's behind him that's exciting. The emergence of Pimpton and Green will lead LSU into running more two and three tight-end formations than we've seen in past seasons.

Left Tackle:

Starter

Will Campbell

Junior

Back-Up

Tyree Adams

Redshirt Freshman

No surprises as Will Campbell will continue to be the leader of the LSU Football team. Redshirt Freshman Tyree Adams has looked incredible in camp this Summer which is promising for the LSU Football team post Will Campbell.

Left Guard:

Starter

Garrett Dellinger

Senior

Back-Up

Paul Mubenga

Redshirt Freshman

Center:

Starter

DJ Chester

Redshirt Freshman

Back-up

Coen Echols

Freshman

Chester is the lone new starter on the offensive line as Charles Turner is off to the NFL. There is a ton of excitement around DJ Chester and he's looked the part thus far in camp.

Right Guard:

Starter

Miles Frazier

Redshirt Senior

Back-up

Christian Stamps

Redshirt Freshman

Miles Frazier being in a walking boot is a massive concern right now just over a week from the season opener and could lead to some movement on the offensive line but, Frazier's injury has been described as minor.

Right Tackle:

Starter

Emery Jones Jr.

Right Tackle

Back-Up

Bo Bordelon

Redshirt Sophomore

Overall on the offense there aren't too many surprises with who will start for the LSU Football team. We'll likely see five receivers rotating for the offense as LSU has a ton of pieces that all bring different pieces to the table. The biggest position to watch right now is at Guard where Miles Frazier is currently in a walking boot.
