This weekend marked the third weekend of official visits for the LSU Football team this summer. The Tigers brought some of the Nation's top talents to campus as they looked to land recruits to further bolster their second-ranked recruiting class. The LSU Tigers didn't land any commitments this weekend but, they put themselves in a great spot with several top recruits.

Could CJ Wiley be in play for LSU now?

Heading into the weekend, LSU was seemingly far behind Georgia in the race for four-star receiver CJ Wiley. The LSU Football team has the advantage of being a legacy as Chuck Wiley CJ's father was a two-time All-SEC defensive end for LSU. This weekend was seemingly an All-In push for CJ Wiley as the Tigers look to add another receiver commit alongside TaRon Francis ahead of his June 25th commitment. Kyren Lacy led the charge online asking that Tigers fans show the love for Wiley. Florida State gets the final visit with Wiley but, LSU certainly put itself in contention this weekend.

Brian Kelly and Jay Johnson both push for a top recruit

The biggest storyline this weekend was Jay Johnson and Brian Kelly teaming up to pursue two sport star Jonah Williams. The On3 Industry ranking ranks Jonah Williams as the top safety in the class and the 11th ranked prospect overall as a five-star recruit. The Tigers seemingly are behind the in-state Texas A&M Aggies and Oklahoma who made Kyler Murray a top ten pick in both sports but, Williams had the following to say after his visit:

"My family and I enjoyed our time at LSU. They showed a lot of hospitality and they showed me some big things."

LSU Tigers continue to make strong pitch to top 2026 Quarterback

While all of the focus may be on the 2025 recruiting class, the LSU football team is also making waves in the 2026 recruiting class. The most important position is easily the quarterback position as Joe Sloan continues to be one of the best recruiters in the country. This weekend, the LSU Football team got the Nation's top quarterback in the 2026 class on campus as well as the 10th ranked quarterback Brady Hart.

This weekend LSU got the Nation's top 2026 quarterback Faizon Brandon back on campus as LSU looks to land the Nation's top quarterback in back-to-back classes. This was the third time LSU has gotten Brandon on campus and the staff continued to make a strong impression.

LSU now on solid ground with in-state Jhase Thomas

This week, LSU made a strong push to keep another talented Louisiana Native at home. The Tigers offered in-state athlete Jhase Thomas a scholarship at camp on Thursday. Brian Kelly personally offered Thomas making an even stronger impression on Thomas. The Tigers offered the three-star athlete at cornerback and may immediatley be the team to beat in Thomas' recruitment. Thomas still has plans to visit elsewhere but, LSU has made themselves a strong contender with the offer.

No cause for concern despite no commitments through three weeks

It's been three weeks of official visits and the LSU Tigers have yet to land a commitment however, there's no cause for concern quite yet. The Tigers are in a great place with DJ Pickett, Damien Shanklin, and Xavier Ukponu ahead of their commitment dates. The Tigers have also made themselves serious players in upcoming commitments for CJ Wiley, Da'Saahn Brame, and Zion Williams among others. Defensive line is the biggest position to watch in terms of flips as Bo Davis has positioned himself nicely with some top Texas commits.
