The Funniest Three Potential Corporate Sponsors for the SEC
As College Football continues to evolve as money is playing a bigger role than ever before, we continue to see things that were never imaginable take place. The latest development is that the Big 12 is exploring corporate name sponsors for their conference with Allstate leading the way.
While the SEC is proud in its roots and likely would be the last conference to embrace such a trend it got us thinking on what may be the funniest outcomes for the SEC.
3. The Securities and Exchange Commission
Now before we dive into anything here I don't believe that the Securities and Exchange Commission has ever bene a corporate sponsor or that college football would love having them even closer to their transactions.
In the sports crazy world everyone refers to the SEC as the powerful football conference while the business world refers to the SEC as the people coming after them once they've done something wrong. Anytime you search SEC or The SEC you get a mixed bag of business world stories and stories about who may be the best offensive line in the country.
This partnership makes things very easy for announcers while making things even more difficult for fans searching stories online. Just imagine how much easier it will be to be the SEC presented by the SEC while both are different entities. If the two SEC's are reading this and strike a deal I would certainly like a cut of the profits.
