2. No Self Inflicted mistakes

The Tigers have started every season since the 2019 National Championship game on a losing note a streak that has to end. One of the biggest reasons for this losing streak is self inflicted errors as LSU has given away some of these games. Against Florida State for example, LSU has dealt with botched snaps, failed fourth down conversions, and muffed punts. This is a USC Trojans offense that can score points in a hurry so LSU can ill afford to turn the ball over and they can't afford to turn it over in short field situations.

1. Dominate the Trojans in the rushing attack

This USC Trojans defense struggled in 2023 when teams ran the Football as it looked like at times they simply did not know how to tackle. There's a ton of optimism around the Trojans' defense with the addition of defensive coordinator D'Anton Lynn but, this team is much different than the defense he had at UCLA.

The Trojans don't have the same caliber of defensive linemen as UCLA had under Lynn during the 2023 season. These Trojans don't exactly have the same depth that UCLA had and depth is still a massive concern for this LSU Defense.

That's why it'll be the biggest key for the LSU Football team to not only run the football but to dominate the Trojans with the rushing attack. If LSU can run the ball effectively, the Trojans are no match in this game, and come the fourth quarter, USC's front will be exhausted.

The Tigers sustaining long drives will not only tire out the defense but, it'll make Lincoln Riley and Miller Moss restless on the sideline. The best way to disrupt a high-flying passing attack like USC's is to keep them off the field for long periods of the game as they heavily rely on staying in a rhythm.
