This weekend, the LSU Basketball program got to kick off their long month of recruiting visits like the football team did this weekend. The Tigers only got one recruit onto campus but, the attendance is about to ramp up in the weeks to come.

This weekend, Matt McMahon got four star Power Forward Matt Gilhool down to Baton Rouge from Pennsylvania. On3 ranks Gilhool as the 62nd best player in the country and as the 15th ranked Power Forward in the class.

Entering the weekend it looked like LSU would need to impress Gilhool in order to emerge in a jam packed group of finalists and the Tigers have seemingly done so. Matthew Gilhool will now announce his commitment on Tuesday with LSU, Iowa, Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia Tech, and Mississippi State.

Given that this announcement immediatley follows his trip to Baton Rouge, all signs have to point towards LSU. On3's recruiting prediction machine gives LSU a 82.7% chance of landing Gilhool while Georgia Tech is next in line at 3%.

Landing Gilhool would get the Tigers on the board in the 2025 recruiting class giving Matt McMahon his first commitment of the cycle. Getting him on board would be massive for the Tigers especially as recruits continue to visit Baton Rouge this month.
