Two Former LSU Tigers make NFL's Top 100 list from 70-61
The NFL season is almost here with training camps around the league kicking off this week. The week to come will see the NFL unveil it's top 100 list which is a list of the top 100 players in the league voted upon by the players. The LSU Tigers hadn't had any players that cracked the list from 100-70 but, two players cracked the list in the 60's.
68th - Danielle Hunter- Edge Rusher
The former LSU star is coming off of back-to-back Pro Bowl seasons and is making the move from Minnesota to the upstart Houston Texans. His ninth year in the NFL was his best as he led the league in tackles for a loss with 23, a career high 16.5 sacks, while forcing four fumbles, and 22 quarterback hits. Being voted one of the top 100 players in the NFL by your peers is an incredible honor but, Hunter could easily be upset with this ranking as one of the NFL's top defenders.
64th - Patrick Queen - Linebacker
The Baltimore Ravens turned down Patrick Queen's fifth year option prior to last season a decision they'll certainly regret. In a contract year, Queen had his best year to date recording 133 tackles, 9 tackles for a loss, 3.5 sacks, an interception, and a forced fumble. The year earned Patrick Queen his first career Pro Bowl nod and a three-year $41 million dollar deal with the Ravens biggest rival the Steelers.
More LSU Tigers to come on this list
The LSU Tigers have already gotten two players into the leagues top 100 players and there are certainly more to come. Joe Burrow, Ja'Marr Chase, and Justin Jefferson are locks to land inside the top fifty while they'll likely land inside the top twenty. We could still see a few LSU tigers make the cut as well in Tyrann Mathieu, Damien Lewis, and Derek Stingley Jr. Next season will be exciting to check in on after Jayden Daniels, Malik Nabers, and Brian Thomas Jr kick off their careers.
