The College Football season is right around the corner as games kick off this week. LSU has been given its preseason ranking in the Coach’s Poll and by the Associated Press. The only thing missing for the Tigers was the nominations to the preseason All-American teams.

To no one’s surprise, Will Campbell once again makes the cut as a pre-season All-American at Offensive Tackle. From the time Campbell was a freshman, he’s been one of the best offensive linemen in College Football. This season we all expect that Campbell was sport the 7 for a second season while anchoring the what should be the best offensive line in college football.

The LSU Football team is represented on defense as well with the selection of Harold Perkins as a First Team All American. While moving from edge rusher to linebacker, Perkins saw his production drop but, it’s as expected. Entering his third season as a starter, Perkins is ready to explode especially as Blake Baker brings intensity back to this LSU defense.

The biggest snub by far is right tackle Emery Jones who was left off of the team. Jones like Campbell and Perkins is entering his third season as a starter for the LSU Football team. It’s clear to anyone that turns on the tape that Emery Jones is one of the best offensive linemen in the sport and certainly the best right tackle in College Football.

Who emerges and makes the cut by end of season?

If you’re looking for a player that is most likely to end the season as an All-American after missing the cut look no further than Kyren Lacy. Given the explosiveness Kaleb Jackson has shown this summer no one would be shocked if he had a breakout season this year. If you’re looking for players to believe in defensively, the edge rushers have taken a massive jump this summer.
